Liquid carbon dioxide is a refrigerant that can be used to preserve food or artificial rainfall. It is also an industrial raw material that can be used to manufacture soda ash, urea, and soda water. Due to the widespread application of liquid carbon dioxide in various fields, we all know that carbon dioxide storage tanks can be well stored. But during operation, in order to reduce the occurrence of errors, we need to achieve these.
1. The installation site of carbon dioxide storage tanks should be well ventilated, generally installed outdoors with fences around them, and there should be no open flames, flammable and explosive materials, or low-lying areas at 5.5 meters;
2. Carbon dioxide storage tanks must be equipped with grounding and lightning protection devices to guide and reduce static electricity. The anti-static grounding resistance shall not exceed 10 Ω; The impact resistance of the lightning protection device is 30 Ω, and it should be tested at least once a year;
3. Prohibit the use of oil and conduct regular inspections; Valves must be made of stainless steel or copper, regularly inspected, and strictly degreased;
4. Slowly open and close the valve during use. During shutdown, the booster valve should be strictly closed;
5. When there is liquid in the carbon dioxide storage tank, hot work is prohibited for repair, and it must be heated to room temperature for repair;
When the carbon dioxide storage tank has been emptied of liquid and cannot be heated immediately, all valves must be immediately closed. Due to the low temperature inside the tank, moist air can invade the interior through the connected pipes, causing the pipes to freeze and block.
